My hands-down favourite Ethiopian restaurant in the city. I get their vegetarian combo plate every time and my toddler helps me devour it! Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant, as well as very friendly servers.

Great restaurant. Fantastic food with tons of flavour. It was a fun experience if you're up for something new or like to eat with your hands.

Loved this place came here with the kids and they loved the food and the experience. Really enjoyed eating the food with my fingers! The three of us shared one big platter of different meat and veggies. Loved the taste of everything! Wow! Can’t wait to come back again!

The food is reasonably priced. Servers are friendly. Has some charm and character. Service could be faster and setup and choice of music could be more authentic. We had a meat based dish, perhaps a veggie dish would have been more authentic.

First time trying Ethiopian food. We got the meat combo plate and it was very filling for two people. We loved the ambiance and decor of the restaurant and the meal was great value! We will definitely come back to try other dishes in the near future!

Love this place and visit often. Have introduced my whole family to Ethiopian food. Nice atmosphere, nice staff, good food. I avoid sitting on the back tables, they look nice but your knees bump on them all the time.

Loved the meal for 2 in traditional style. Prices were amazing for the amount of food we received.

Food is delicious. Customer service is on fleek as well. The vibe is definitely suitable to stay late and drink after a good meal

I come here every week with my girlfriend since I live near by. The food is authentic and delicious every time. The staff recognize us and treat us very warmly, I almost feel like family every time I come in. The atmosphere is unique, cozy and comfortable. This place makes me want to travel to Ethiopia to try the food. If I could give it 10 stars I would!

Had my first try at Ethiopian food and was absolutely amazed. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, lively and family driven. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The food was great, we had various meat, veggie and chickpea options. Will be back forsure!

Went with some friends to try Ethiopian food for the first time and it was fantastic it's a little place but you see a lot of locals around so you know it has to be good. The Waitresses really nice they explained how to order and recommended some really great options we started off with the vegetarian platter and we ordered the lamb Curry the chicken curry and also the beef Derek I believe. it was and the injera oh my goodness was so good. If you're looking to try on Ethiopian restaurant I would highly recommend this. If you're a coffee drinker when you're ordering your meal make sure you order the coffee ceremony and evil love how this coffee tastes.

Rendez-vous is hands down the best Ethiopian food experience you can get . From the cultural food to the service. Always a good time when going there from the friendly staff to the cleanliness of the place. Would definitely recommend this place to everyone who wants to be surprised by how good Ethiopian food can be

Surely one of the best Ethiopian restaurants in Toronto. We have tried the cuisine in many cities and glad Rendez-Vous comes in the top. We are vegetarians and gladly re-ordered from them few times now. Keep up the awesome work guys.

Food was delicious, ordered Doro tibs and vegetarian platter, and got to sample Taj (Ethiopian honey herbed wine). Service was friendly and helpful in asking questions about the menu. Being a fan of Ethiopian food, I will be keeping this place on my list for sure!

It's been a while that i was looking for The Ethiopian place to eat and i found it. The menu is attractive and the food is delicious.The place is quite big, you can reserve a table if needed and you on't have to wait forever for your plate.

It was my first time trying Ethiopian food and I absolutely loved it! I got the spicy beef platter with 4 different veggie sides. I would definitely return and I also loved the ambiance the restaurant had and their decor was lovely :) They also gave a lot of injera which was great

I ordered the veggie combo which was a tasty, generous serving. I would have liked a bit more spice, however, and the incense wafting thickly throughout the space was a bit overwhelming. It was good enough for a repeat visit and the service was swift and friendly.

So delicious! 4 adults shared one table with half vegetarian half meat items including lamb and beef, about $25/person. All we could eat (gluten free) inerj bread. The server brought out coffee beans roasting in the skillet for added aroma. Really tasty. Less one star from perfection for being a little more pricey than other Ethiopian restaurants in Toronto.

Amazing food.. excellent service.. went here for Valentine’s Day and we very impressed. Will be back for sure.

My family and I been coming to your restaurant for years, and we will never come again.One of the best Ethiopian restaurant in the GTA, and they give very good customer service. However, I was shoked when I get charged over $30 for one food, yet nothing has changed with the dish.

They have very nice food. If you like dim light, then this is the place. Very nice Ethiopian food with traditionl coffee. Their coffee is a bit strong.

The food at this place continues to amaze, and though prices are up from 5 years ago, it was well overdue, and the service and (if it was possible) the deliciousness factor have also gotten even better in the last couple years. I'm so glad they will survive gentrification and help keep Danforth awesome.

Great food, staff and atmosphere

My first Ethiopian dining experience. Went with a group of colleagues and we asked the server to recommend a selection. There was a ton of food. It was tasty and I found that even I was super full, I kept wanting to eat. I was stuffed by the end and there was lots left. I enjoyed eating with my hands, though it was a bit tricky.

Went to this restaurant on Saturday for a friend's birthday and the restaurant found out and gave us a bottle of champagne on the house! We felt so welcomed! The food was delicious, I ordered the doro tibes and enjoyed the flavours-- next time I'm getting the doro wot. :) It was thoroughly cooked-- one thing I really appreciate about Ethiopian and Eritrean cuisine!! Atmosphere was very relaxed, the artwork and photography and the herb that was lit around our table transported us via the senses, we did not feel like we were in Toronto anymore. Highly recommend the coffee ceremony, it is delicious coffee-- not incredibly strong but the roast is nothing like I've had before. Thank you for making my friend's night a special one!!

The customer service is constantly speedy, great atmosphere, very friendly staff members. I will eat here again when I arrive here.

Ethiopian cuisine will blow your mind and maybe your tongue (as it is on the spicy spectrum), but it's definitely something you should try. Textures, spices and that flatbread that complemented all so well. Eating with my hands just added fun to the experience 🙌Rendez-vous deserves their Google reviews, fast and nice service, very good food for an even better price. Our Combination served 3 people and we all agree that it could have served one more. And they were really accommodating by mixing 2 different Combinations by our request. Weekday dinner time but the restaurant was fully booked. Recommend a reservation.All your orders come on a large plate to be shared and to be eaten with soft flat bread by hand. Fun way to eat.The dishes were good but much of them were similar in flavour and presentation.

First time here. Staff was very friendly could've been a tad more attentive but they were nice and friendly. Ambiance and decor was hard to judge to be completely honest. It's dimly lit so it's really hard to get a good view on the place. Food was pretty good. I've had Ethiopian food before but this time was better. Overall I would return if I was in the area and was craving Ethiopian food I also do recommend to those who like to try new foods and to those who enjoy good authentic Ethiopian food as well.

Great habesha cultural place to dine, staff are also great. It takes a while to get ur order but I personally don't mind as I enjoy more freshly cooked foods.

Excellent food, I would highly recommend this restaurant, truly authentic food. The vegetarian platter was unbelievable, so much variety and such different tastes. Strongly recommend you try it.

I used to think this was a 5 star restaurant. Their vegetarian platter for two was such a good deal, around $12. They redid their menu and now it's closer to $20, yet nothing has changed with the dish. I wouldn't have minded a slight increase, but what justifies it being almost double the price now? Just not worth it. It also takes forever to get any service. Their coffee ceremony is nice though.

Good food price nd portion size were off I guess their still paying for the new sign. Service was slow only two persons working busy lunch shift one server never left behind the bar, while boss sits and chats with customers nd friends. Meat combination has always been my fav tasty food tho. But won't continue to go back if there portions are kids size. Especially if it's to share

This place is the Ethiopian restaurant that anchors the others in the neighborhood. The food is fantastic and the service is friendly. Be prepared the weekends can be quite busy.Also, they have many vegetarian options. I like to get a plate or several and share with friends.

Delicious . Great portion size and friendly service. This is the veggie combo and meat combo, presented together on one large plate with injera underneath. Out of frame of the photo is a separate plate of enjera. Will definitely return for the Ethiopian coffee ceremony. Haven't tried it but it's ~30 min process of freshly roasted beans made to order. If you're interested, I suggest ordering at same time as your meal.

Delicious food in a nice environment. Not too loud, not too quiet. Enjoyed the music in the background and the staff was great all night.
